The movie is directed by Peter Jackson who is famous for directing The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit trilogy.

John Crowley has adapted this from the novel of the same name written by Colm TóibÃn. Ronan was even nominated for an Academy Award for best actress for this role.
