Adapted from Alice Sebold’s novel of the same name The Lovely Bones follows Susie who is a 14 year old girl. She gets murdered but she just refuses to move on as she has unfinished business left. Her spirit keeps on watching over her family as she wants to reveal her murderer’s name to them. Some people think that the film is quite hard to critique because of the overall subject matter. The movie is directed by Peter Jackson who is famous for directing The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit trilogy.

John Crowley has adapted this from the novel of the same name written by Colm Tóibín. Ronan was even nominated for an Academy Award for best actress for this role.
