Genshin Impact is an open-world action and adventure RPG developed by Mihoyo. Additionally, it is a Gacha game, players can obtain Primogems through events, exploration, or topping up. Players can pull for characters and weapons from the Wish System. A player can obtain limited 5-star characters through the Character Event Wish and 5-star weapons through Epitome Invocation. 5-star characters are rarer than 4-star ones, most people have a difficult time choosing who to Wish for. As such, we made a list of some of the strongest characters in Genshin Impact which may make clearing certain domains and, perhaps, the Spiral Abyss less difficult. However, keep in mind that every character can be strong with a good amount of investment. To enjoy the game the most, you should get a character you actually like rather than a character you don’t want who’s strong.
Bennett is a 4-star Pyro Sword user. He serves mainly as a support, providing healing and a huge attack buff. His healing is good, although, it only heals till a character reaches over 75% of their health. His attack buff is what makes him shine the most. Bennett’s burst provides all characters standing within it an attack buff equal to his base attack. The base attack is what he gets from leveling up and his weapons. Artifacts do not affect the buff he gives, they do, however, affect the amount of health he is able to heal.
Kaedehara Kazuha is a 5-star Support Anemo Sword character. Besides being very fun to play, he is able to buff elemental damage. His passive talent “Poetics of Fuubutsu” grants every character of the element he swirls 0.04% elemental damage bonus for every point of elemental mastery he has. He can be used as a sub-DPS or support in almost every elemental team. Additionally, with the artifact set “Viridescent Venerer,” he decreases enemies’ Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40%.
Ganyu is a 5-star Cryo Bow user, used mostly as the main damage dealer. Her charged attack, Frostflake Arrow, has a high damage multiplier, and at Charge level 2 The Frostflake arrow deals AOE Cryo damage. Her passive increases the Crit Rate of her Frostflake arrows by 20%. And along with the “Blizzard Strayer” set and Cryo resonance, her Crit rate without any artifacts is easily 80%. Alternatively, she can use the Wanderer’s Troupe and utilize one of the strongest reactions in the game, Melt. It is not really recommended, but it is possible to use her as a supporting character for Pyro and Hydro characters.
Kamisato Ayaka is a 5-star Cryo Sword user, and as one of the most anticipated characters since the beginning of the game, she does not disappoint. Her burst summons a snowstorm that moves forward, attacking all enemies in its way. In addition, after using her special sprint, her weapon gains Cryo infusion and her Cryo damage is increased by 18%. She is most often used in Freeze teams along with characters like Kaedehara Kazuha, Xingqiu/Mona/Kokomi, and Diona/Shenhe.
Zhongli is a 5-star Geo Support Polearm user. The Geo Archon can be used as a burst DPS or a shield tank. His shield is by far the strongest in the game, with a 100% uptime as the cooldown for the skill is longer than the time it takes for the shield to expire. Zhongli’s shield and damage scale off of his maximum health. His skill “Dominance of Earth,” increases the damage of his normal attacks, skill, and burst by 1.39%, 1.9%, and 33% of his maximum health. With the set “Tenacity of the Millelith,” he is also able to provide the team a 20% attack bonus.
She is the strongest Pyro damage dealer yet and wields a Polearm. This Funeral Parlor’s Director can be used as a burst DPS but is mostly used for her skill which gives her weapon elemental infusion. Along with a hydro character, she is able to maximize her damage with Vaporise reactions. Her damage scales off her maximum health and her skill “Sanguine Rouge” further increases her Pyro damage when her health is below or equal to 50%.
Raiden Shogun is the Electro Archon. She is a polearm user, however, in her burst, Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu, she uses an Electro-infused sword. She is both a support and a damage dealer. While her skill increases the entire team’s burst damage while it’s active, her burst is capable of dealing a great amount of damage. Raiden gains a 0.4% Electro damage bonus for every 1% energy over 100% she has.
These are some of the strongest characters in Genshin Impact. Once again, you don’t have to own these characters to clear the game, you should play the game however you enjoy it.
