Shadow of the Ninja Reborn, a 16-bit remake of the original announced

A 16-bit remake, Shadow of the Ninja Reborn has been announced to be released in the West soon by Natsume Atari Inc. and ININ. The game, also known as KAGE Shadow of the Ninja, is a remake of the original Shadow of the Ninja or Blue Shadow, known in the West, released 33 years ago. This game is now returning to the gaming scene with a brand-new remake.

The original was released in 1990 by Natsume Inc. Shadow of the Ninja was what made Natsume what it is today. The company made the game compatible with the Japanese Nintendo computer which was one of the best in its time and supported two player controls that were needed for this game.

Shadow of the Ninja Reborn is created by Tengo Project, with the illustrations and designing visuals all done by Dynamic Production. They also did the graphics for the original game which is a plus as it will allow the remake to be true to the actual game.

For this remake, the classic 2D ninja action-adventure side-scroller alongside parallel two-player multiplayer is back. You can choose between the male and female characters, or work in a multiplayer mode with both of them.

Another good news for fans of this franchise is that the soundtrack of Shadow of the Ninja Reborn is composed by Iku Mizutani. He is a famous composer mostly known for his work on the Natsume soundtrack for the first original version of this game. So prepare yourself to listen to the iconic, and familiar compositions of Iku Mizutani.

Shadow of the Ninja Reborn will be released in Spring 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

A very different game that will be hitting the gamine scene shortly is Tekken 8, which you can learn more about here.
