If you are following the recent gaming news, then you probably know what the hype is all about. One of the biggest surprises of Friday night’s State of Play was the Resident Evil 4 Remake. We are finally getting a remake of our childhood love Resident Evil 4, Nostalgic right? Who would’ve thought that we would get to see our very own Leon Kennedy in such amazing graphics of the modern era?
Thanks to the technology of the modern era and the RE Engine graphics engine, we will be experiencing our childhood once again with much better graphics and gameplay. The trailer of the Resident Evil 4 Remake is finally out with a release date of 24th March 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
However, we haven’t been able to see it in motion YET! The trailer does give us a glimpse of how some of the most amazing locations and characters of Resident Evil 4 have been restructured.
According to the Playstation’s recent blog – This time, the game is being developed to achieve state-of-the-art quality for a survival horror suitable for 2023, while preserving the essence of the original game. We aim to make the game feel familiar to fans of the series, while also providing a fresh feeling to it. This is being done by reimagining the storyline of the game while keeping the essence of its direction, modernizing the graphics, and updating the controls to a modern standard.

ElAnalistaDeBits here has done a really good job in comparing both the original and the remake. One of the most remarkable differences between the two games is the opening sequence in which Leon S. Kennedy leans on his hand while waiting to reach USAtown: in the original game, the protagonist appears to arrive at a time close to noon, whereas in the remake, it appears to be morning.

How can we not appreciate the amount of details that have been added to this scene, it just keeps getting more and more realistic.

The jacket worn by Leon in the remake is strikingly identical to that worn by Leon in the beta version of the original, known as Resident Evil 3.5.

Quite an impressive level of detail can be seen in the Remake when it comes to Locations and Ganados.

The entire environment on the footpath to the village has been totally changed.
