With the recent announcement by Rockstar Games, it is confirmed that Red Dead Redemption is coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. A recent article from IGN confirmed this news and gave details regarding this expansion.
Red Dead Redemption is an action-adventure third-person shooter game with a Western theme. The players take control of John Marston who wants to take revenge on the government for taking his family as ransom. It is the sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption and takes place in 1911, during the decline of the American frontier.
Red Dead Redemption was launched in May 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was set to be released in August 2023 for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and now we have a date for it. On 17th August 2023, the game will now be accessible to PlayStation 4 and Switch players. The physical copy is said to be released on 13th October 2023. More information is present on their respective websites.
The news was a positive addition for the gamers who awaited the Red Dead Redemption release for a while now. The only conflict is about the price of the game on these platforms, which is $49.99. According to fans, the price is too high for a game that is just expanding its platforms with no change up a few things to make the money worth spending.
Many PC fans are upset over this news as they expected Rockstar to expand it to all available platforms by now as it was released 13 years ago.
Looking on the bright side, the extension, Undead Nightmare, is also included in this release.
That’s all. Let’s hope for another update for PC gamers soon so that everyone can play this game. Until then, you can check out these new Indie games released last week and select one that you like to play.
