At this time, Muslims around the world are celebrating Eid. Eid is a religious event in Islam to commemorate the end of Ramadan. Additionally, it holds a lot of importance as it is often used to celebrate the hard month-long fasting. This year, it will be celebrated from 1st May or 2nd May 2022, depending on when the moon is sighted. Many famous celebrities like Akon, Bella Hadid, DJ Khaled, and SZA have taken it upon themselves to wish all their Muslim fans a Happy Eid. Along with them, Marvel wishes the Muslim community Eid with this beautiful artwork.
The artwork is created by a talented artist, Shehzil Malik (@shehzilm). It features the superhero Ms. Marvel, from Marvel’s upcoming TV Series, Ms. Marvel. Ms. Marvel or Kamala Khan is the first Muslim Superhero to have her own comic book. In the artwork, we see her with henna on her hands, which is also often worn by Muslims during Eid. Moreover, she holds a moon in between her hands which has the words “Eid Mubarak” written on them. The gorgeous art is posted on the official Marvel accounts with the caption “May this Eid bring strength, love, and light.”
