One Piece manga and anime both are reaching climax, particularly the former. In the manga, Oda has finally unveiled the long-awaited new form of Luffy which is Gear 5. Luffy’s new gear is unlike other past gears as it embodies the Sun God, Nika, and comes with the awakening of Luffy’s devil fruit. Not just this, but it has been revealed that Luffy’s actual powers were not of rubber (Gomu Gomu no mi) but the Straw Hat possessed a legendary Mythical Zoan fruit called Hito Hito no mi, Model Nika. Even though we haven’t officially seen the colored version of Luffy’s Gear 5, various artists have made Luffy Gear 5 fan art that shows off the future pirate king in a full splash.

These three pieces of spectacular art are from artists on Twitter. The third one is my favorite in this one. Really flashy and exhibits the Nika spirit of Luffy.
Cool, right? All of these are amazing. Luffy’s Gear 5 also resembles Goku in Super Sayan form too. It would be epic to see the official coloring of this new form. We don’t think that it would be much different from this collection of fan art.
