How to win in Age of Wonders 4

For those who have already progressed right through the Age of Wonders 4 Strategy map and are now more concerned about how to label them as victorious or in simple words How to Win? This guide is exactly for you. To save you some time, today we will be anchoring on the different steps to victory along with how you can successfully implement them.

    Magic Victory

Starting with none other than the magic victory, for this one, you will first have to make sure that you research a tier 5 tome. Which could be any, like the tome of the Order or tome of the Chaos. However, before you go into that you also have to make sure that you have appropriate tier 3 and tier 4 tomes unlocked.

Once that’s done, it’s time to move on to building some monuments.

Quick Tip: Make sure that you keep some of your cities close together because you can create only 1 monument for each city. It will be easier to defend your monuments this way because these monuments are usually placed on borders.

You are required to build a Seed, a Root, and a Heart of the appropriate tome that you have selected. If you have selected the tome of Order, create the Seed, Root, and Heart of the Tome of Order.

After you’re done with the three monuments of the same affinity, you will get a spell in your spell book. This spell will be named after your affinity for example if your monuments are of Chaos you will get a spell named Age of Chaos.

Now cast whichever spell that you have and you now have 15 turns to defend these monuments. If you’re successful in defending them you basically win the game.

    Expansion Victory

Next, we have the expansion Victory, to begin with, this way requires you to get control of the majority of the provinces on the map.

After that, you will have to build three beacons of unity, and each city can have only one of these so it’s mandatory for you to have at least three cities. Build all three of these beacons of Unity and then click on any one of them and select Light the Beacons of Unity. Now, just like for the monuments in Magic Victory these beacons are also going to get you in war with other opponents.

Quick Tip: Make sure that you keep some of your cities close together. Because you can create only 1 beacon for each city. It will be easier to defend your beacons of Unity this way because these beacons are usually placed on borders.

Once again, the timer will start and you have 15 turns to defend all three beacons from AI factions and Partisans as well. If you successfully defend all three of these beacons you will be labeled victorious.

    Domination Victory

This one is all about conquering each and every capital city or the throne city on the map. All you have to do is successfully defeat their hero and conquer the city. Do Make sure that it is being ruled by you or maybe another player.

However, this way to victory gives room to make allies with some of the cities. So, for those cities that are not your enemies but rather allies you don’t really have to conquer or defeat them. Rather focus on defeating other throne cities, and this way you’re destined to be victorious.

    Score Victory

Every regular run in Age of Wonders 4 lasts for 150 turns. By the end of this time and if no one else is victorious, the one with the highest score will automatically be declared victorious by default and that’s about it.

That was all about different steps to win in Age of Wonders 4 along with how you can successfully implement them. Do let us know in the comment section below which victory you will go for.
