Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been officially announced by Ubisoft

For months, rumors have circulated about Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, with reliable sources claiming that a new game in the series is on the way. The latest Assassin’s Creed game leaked online earlier today, revealing its title, showing some pictures, and confirming pre-order bonuses. With this leak, Assassin’s Creed Mirage unexpectedly was announced.

Rather than ignoring the leaks, Ubisoft has opted to step ahead of the game and officially reveal Assassin’s Creed Mirage with the image showcasing the general idea of the game. Here is the tweet which confirmed it all!

After many rumors suggested that the next game in this franchise would be called Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft unintentionally posted artwork for its DLC, hinting that the rumored name was correct. There was also some speculation surrounding the artwork but Ubisoft responded to the leak. Their response confirmed the game’s existence, confirming once and for all that the new game is called Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

It was already revealed that this new game will be set in Baghdad, Iraq. This can be further solidified by the picture which was leaked. The protagonist of AC Mirage is thought to be Basim, who previously appeared in AC Valhalla. Although this has yet to be confirmed, there are high chances that he will be in it.

    Release Date and Platforms

While Assassin’s Creed Mirage was originally scheduled to release in late 2022 or early 2023, recent rumors suggest otherwise. It is expected that the game may not be released until Q2 2023, which would place it between April and the end of June.

The game’s platforms have not yet been confirmed, however, it will most likely be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It’s unclear whether Ubisoft will remain with the PS5 and Xbox Series and abandon the prior consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One. This is another rumor that they will but let’s wait for the reveal and then talk about it.

We will keep you updated on the upcoming details about the game Assassin’s Creed Mirage when it’s announced officially. Till then, keep yourself updated with the news section on our site Retrology.
