All Ceremonial Weapons locations in Baldur’s Gate 3

In Baldur’s Gate 3, there are some items or weapons which are just there to fulfill their purpose as trophies or keys. Ceremonial weapons also play a role as keys to be used for a quest or something bigger. There are four ceremonial weapons used in the quest present in the area of Rosymorn Monastery in Baldur’s Gate 3. Let’s look into their locations and how to use them correctly to obtain the final objective.

    Rosymorn Monastery

Rosymorn Monastery is an area that contains all the ceremonial weapons which are used in the quest and in return give you Blood of Lathander which is one of the most powerful weapon you can have in this game.

Blood of Lathander is one of the best weapons that a player may earn early in the game, and it’s best used by healers like Celtics or Druid, who know how to stay safe during the fight as its abilities stay for a long time.

    • Lathander’s Blessing: Regain 2-12 hit points once your hut points return to 0. This can be done once per long rest.
    • Lathander’s Light: A blinding light is released to a 6 m radius and all enemies are blinded unless they are able to succeed in Constitution Saving Throw.

    Ceremonial Weapons

There are a total of 4 ceremonial weapons that are found and used in a puzzle. All of them are around the same area in Rosymorn Monastery, but you need to know the exact area to find one.

    Ceremonial Longsword

The Longsword is the only ceremonial weapon that you don’t need to find. It is already placed at one of the pedestals on the far end of the end facing the doorway.

    Ceremonial Mace

Starting from the Mountain Pass here, go to the temple called Rosymorn Monastery. Here go down to the wine cellar. Walk inside and you’ll find Kobold here. A battle will start and at the end, search around for the item. You’ll likely find the Ceremonial Mace one of the enemies or Kobold.

    Ceremonial Battleaxe

The next weapon is a Ceremonial Battleaxe which is found on the second floor. Head to the East wing and find the Enchanted door in the beginning. The only way to open this door is by lock-pick so make sure you have that.

In this room, you’ll meet the Guardian of Faith whom you’ll need to fight to get the weapon. Defeat him and take the Battleaxe to go back to the glass-stained room.

When you unlock the Door, you’ll notice that it’s partially blocked by some furniture. You can enter the room by smashing the furniture or by picking up the Ceremonial Battle from the ground. However, this results in combat with the Guardian, which you must defeat.

    Ceremonial Warhammer

For the last weapon, go to the roof of the temple. In the middle of the roof, you’ll see the Ceremonial Warhammer, but don’t pick it up just yet. If you do, you will have to fight some eagles, which is a long process but the easiest one.

Another way you can get the weapon is by using Mage Hand to slide the Warhammer toward your team without notifying the eagles. This is only possible if you have the spell Mage Hand. Another sneaky approach is using an Invisibility Potion to become invisible, then using a spell like Misty Step to run. These types of approaches are much more difficult, so choose the one you prefer.

    Rosymorn Monastery Puzzle

Once you’ve acquired all the ceremonial weapons, place them on the pedestal in the glass-stained room in the correct order given below:

    1. Longsword – Front of the doorway
    2. Warhammer – Right from the Longsword
    3. Battleaxe – Right from the Longsword
    4. Mace – In front of longsword

The sign that all the weapons are placed in the correct order would be in the form of the reveal of a hidden pouch. This hidden pouch will have the Dawnmaster’s Crest.

Once done, go into the actual temple ground and go towards the area with two statues. Turn the left statue towards the West and the other towards the East signifying sunset and sunrise. Sometimes the statue may not move, so in that case you can hit it with a blunt weapon or use grease on it.

Now go all the way to the end while also fighting enemies on the way to use the Dawnmaster’s Crest in the mounted panel and get the Blood of Lathander which is the final reward.

This is it for the locations of Ceremonial Weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3 as well as the puzzle you might use them for. For more similar guides, do check similar articles listed.
