During a live Stream on Friday, THQ Nordic announced the new South Park game, South Park Snow Day, after a gap of seven years from the last one of the same franchise. South Park Snow Day is described as an adventure 3D 4-player co-op multiplayer game that you can certainly enjoy with your group.
The game is described by the source as:
“An all-new South Park game is coming… in 3D. Join Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny, in three-dimensional glory, to celebrate the most magical day in any young child’s life – a snow day! Grab up to three friends and battle your way through the snow-piled streets of South Park on a quest to save the world and enjoy a day without school.“
The game project was first teased last year in the THQ Nordic showcase 2022. Now we have a whole trailer that gives more insight into this game. The trailer released shows the character Eric Cartman in a Wizard outfit. In the beginning, he declares that this is the most magical day in a child’s life, as there is no school and they can enjoy playing in the snow. This declaration is followed by children running around and fighting with each other.
There isn’t much to see about the exact gameplay of this game but from what we can gather, the gameplay shows characters having a usual combat, with some using the interactive props around them to their advantage and attack using them. From the brief trailer shows, it is expected to have basic controls involved in combat scenarios, with some props on the stage to aid in fighting.
South Park Snow Day could be a sequel to the last South Park game (South Park: The Fractured But Whole) but this is not confirmed officially. There is no set release date revealed yet, but it is expected to be somewhere in 2024. The game is set to release on multiple platforms which include, PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S.
