Arkane Officially Confirmed that Deathloop as a Part of Dishonored Universe Now

Finally, the fans have the great news they have been waiting for since last year. The rumors are over now with the official news by Arkane Studios. Here is the news in depth about Deathloop as part of Dishonored Universe. Let’s begin.

The official announcement was made by the Arkane Lyon Studio Director, Dinga Bakaba. He appeared on the platform of the Xbox Offical Podcast. Along with him was the Arkane Austin studio director Harvey Smith.

The news was confirmed by their conversation through the platform.  Jeff Rubenstein, the Senior Communications Manager of Xbox started about the rumors with Bakaba. And indirectly inquired whether it’s true that Deathloop is connected to a universe.

Though he made it clear that Bakaba doesn’t need to confirm it. Bakaba didn’t hold back and responded firmly that it was true and delighted the fans. Moreover, he talked about the process behind it.

He said,” “Not everyone has seen the same thing,” He continued, “Not everyone has heard the same song that you might have heard hidden somewhere. Not everyone has seen every room, et cetera, et cetera. So, it was nice to see the community peek at the little clues we did sprinkle everywhere that, yes, indeed, we envisioned Deathloop to be happening in the future after [Dishonored 2’s standalone expansion] Death of the Outsider.”

He directed his attention to the possible scenarios. He continued, “As we were making Deathloop, we said, hey, [this story] could be one of the things that could happen after [Death of the Outsider.] So, we have a certain timeline to link that and there are a lot of clues, actually, in the game. There are some that are abused, one of them is really spoiler-y, so voila, but there are a lot of small things and some that were under people’s noses all the time, but people are just figuring it out.”

    Bakaba Talks about Deathloop

The development team wants the fans to know that the game has a story of its own. And doesn’t want to make the connection very obvious. They wanted the players to explore further after the Death of the Outsider.

“We tried to see everything as an evolution, but each time they mentioned the past, either we were vague enough or we disguised in, I would say, natural ways the names. Like, they talk about the Motherland, and not about Tyvia, but you can definitely… once you know, you can unravel everything. And yes, it does make sense. So, it was nice for us to be imagining one of the futures of the Dishonored world and to have that make sense.”

Bakaba continued to appreciate the excitement of fans. And wanted them to make effort and explore the game. I would still recommend the players continue with Deathloop. Without knowing any of the details of connections, the fans are excited to see Deathloop as part of Dishonored Universe. This news was really a good one.
