What is the lore behind Raiden Shogun?

Raiden Shogun, also known as Raiden Ei, is the Electro Archon who created the Shogun to achieve eternity. She lost her twin sister, Raiden Makoto, during the cataclysm 500 years ago. Over time, she accepts humanity’s desire for progress and becomes the primary host of the Shogun.
