    October is going to be a great month for movie lovers as a lot of movies are set to be released this month. From Sci-Fi to avant-garde films, something is coming for everyone.

    The French Dispatch

    The release date for The French Dispatch is 21st October 2021.

    Set in a fictitious French city the movie follows three plot lines as a newspaper puts together its final issue.

    Moreover, this might be Anderson’s most exquisite work up till now with breathtaking cinematography, subtle references, and carefully curated details.

    Last Night in SoHo

    From the director of “Baby Driver,” Edgar Wright comes a Psychological horror set to be released on 29th October 2021. The movie tells the story of an aspiring fashion designer with an unusual sixth sense as she is transported to 1966 London in the body of a nightclub singer. Slowly, the horrors and realities of the entire situation start to unfold.

    The cast includes “The Queen’s Gambit” star Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin McKenzie, and Matt Smith in lead roles. Originally set to be released on 25th September 2020 the movie was delayed due to the pandemic.

    Furthermore, director Edgar Wright said that he wanted this movie to be a depiction of the reality of the glamourized lifestyle in the sixties. Most of the time, movies show women’s liberation in such a way that no one thinks about all the imperfect aspects.

    Dune

    Based on the novel written by Frank Herbert in 1965 “Dune” is a science fiction adventure that tells the story of Paul who must travel to the most dangerous planet to make sure that the future of his family and people is not in danger. The release date for the movie worldwide is 22nd October 2021.

    Fever Dream

    Adapted from the novel by Samanta Schweblin “Fever Dream” is a horror-thriller about motherhood and catastrophe. The lives of two mothers intertwine with each other and the holiday destination becomes an enigmatic nightmare.

    The Last Duel

    From the director of “The Martian” Ridley Scott comes a historical drama adapted from The Last Duel: A True Story of Trial by Combat in Medieval France by Eric Jager.  This movie tells the story of the last legally sanctioned duel in Medieval France. No one seems to believe a woman who was raped by her husband’s best friend. Hence, her husband challenges his best friend to a duel.
