Here is how to fix this problem:
1. Limit Screen Resolution
If you want to experience smooth gameplay and avoid screen freezing, limit your screen resolution to no more than 1920×1080.
2. Disable any antivirus software
If you have antivirus software installed and it is running in the background, try disabling it. A lot of the times antivirus software disrupts the player’s gameplay experience.
3. Disable Fullscreen Optimization
- Firstly, open the C: drive.
- Open Program Files.
- Go to Steam.
- Now, move to Steam apps.
- Go to Common.
- Here, open The Last Stand Aftermath.
- Right click on TLSA.exe.
- Click on Properties.
- Go to compatibility tab.
- Change settings for all users.
- Enable run this program as admin.
- Enable “Disable Fullscreen Optimization“.
- On the same tab, click on high DPI settings.
- Enable override high DPI scaling behaviour.
- Lastly, click application.
4. DirectX
Make sure you have DirectX 11 or higher installed to avoid any issues of screen freezing.
