By now, you must have stolen LeChunk’s map. And after the defeat by the evil Ghost Captain in an ultimate sword fight, you have to keep going. Next, Guybrush will find himself in the depth of the ocean. Luckily, the great pirate ship is able to hold his breath for the next eight (or ten) minutes. This time frame will allow him to utilize this time to get back to the island.
As you reach the island, you as players will move towards the Red Berry area. And follow according to LeChunk’s map. Here you will be looking for a giant X symbol. Regretfully, this is a trap set by Captain Madison and other pirate captains. This is a fake map that is already switched with the genuine one.
You as Guybrush has to get to a deal with them. And then, you will be able to wander around the island. This is your chance to find the six skulls on the island in Return to Monkey Island.
How to find the Skulls in Return to Monkey Island
The Six Skulls are one of those puzzles you have to solve just like Eyepatch. Murray will accompany you on the journey to find those skulls. Most of the players end up finding only four of them. But if you’re determined and want to unlock the Tight Ship achievement, then you can surely find all of them. They are very easy to find and you’ll wrap it all up in a few minutes.
Here is the detailed location where you can find all six skulls.
On the beach: As you arrive at the beach, there will be a skull on the left side of it.
Giant monkey head: The second skull will be on the left of the entrance of the giant monkey head.
Volcano beach area: The third skull will be close to the water’s edge.
LeChuck’s ship: The fourth skull will be underwater. And to the left of the anchor of the LeChuck’s ship.
Shipwreck area: The fifth skull will be on the beach of the Shipwreck area.
Cliff in the north: The last skull will be on the right side of the rock plateau. It will be in the north of the island, at this location, you can easily see the view.
How to Use the Skulls in Return to Monkey Island
Collect all of them and head to Murray. You have to order the skulls from left to right on spikes. The players will use any bone they pick from the ground too by LeChunk’s theme song. And for that, the order of skulls should be the (Do, Do, Mi, Sol, Fa, Fa, Re). And Murray will be Fa.
