    How did Olivia Newton-John die?

Olivia Newton-John, the global icon best known for her major performance in the film Grease, passed away at the age of 73. Her spouse verified the news. If you are wondering how did Olivia Newton-John die, the cause was breast cancer which she was already battling with.

In recent years, Newton-John has been best recognized as an advocate for breast cancer survivors. Having been one herself since her first diagnosis in 1992, she knows the journey.

Ever since Newton-John was diagnosed with cancer, she has since been a strong champion for cancer research. Her Olivia Newton John Foundation has raised millions of pounds for cancer research.

The hospital that houses the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, which opened after the star’s lobbying, said in a statement that she “encouraged, inspired, and supported” staff and patients on a daily basis. Newton-John was born in Cambridge, the UK in 1948. She later relocated to Melbourne, Australia with her family when she was five years old. She won a talent contest on the TV “Sing, Sing, Sing” as a youngster. After winning, she founded an all-girl band and began performing on weekly pop music shows in Australia

Newton-John began her official singing career at the age of 14. She recorded her first single on a return trip to England in 1966 and her debut album, If Not For You, in 1971. She then went on to perform in Grease, the top point of her career.

Newton-John released her debut song in England in 1966 and had a few foreign hits. Unfortunately, she was mostly unknown to American listeners until 1973, when “Let Me Be There” reached the top 10. It was top on both the adult contemporary and country charts. She won 4 awards and sold 100 million copies making her a well-known singer. This was followed by the popularity of Grease and the music it used.

As Newton-John was already a well-known vocalist by the late 1970s, thanks to her famous teenage profession, she was cast in Grease. Her co-starring performance in 1978’s “Grease,” possibly the most successful film musical of all time, helped her reach new heights. Ironically, most people know her from Grease, not from her musical career which makes this an advertising step for her. Nevertheless, she is amazing as both and will be remembered like this too.
