Chainsaw Man Anime: What we know so far

    Chainsaw man is a Shounen manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It was serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump from 2018 to 2020. In December 2020, it was announced that the manga will receive an anime adaption produced by MAPPA. After a few months, the first trailer for Chainsaw Man was released. Later a second trailer, featuring various manga panels, was revealed as well.


    16 year old Denji dreams of living a peaceful life with the girl he likes. In reality, He is forced by yakuza to kill devils to pay off his debts using his devil pet, Pochita. Soon enough, he is killed by a devil in contract with the yakuza. However, Denji’s pet merges with his dead body, giving him the powers of a chainsaw devil. Seeing his new abilities, he is offered a position in the Public Safety Bureau. Denji wants to take this chance as life to use his powers to achieve his dreams.

    Release Date:

    No release date for the anime has been announced yet, but we do know it will air in Fall 2022. We’ll update this article when further information is revealed.


    None of the voice actors have been revealed yet. The anime will be directed by Nakayama Ryuu and Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by Seshita Keisuke. Moreover, Kensuke Oshio will compose the soundtrack.
