Beverly Hills Cop is another well-known movie franchise to join the comeback bandwagon. With a fourth film, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley in the works for Netflix it has officially confirmed it is coming back. With production starting, images from the set have begun to circulate online. And set photographs indicate casting affirmations that have yet to be announced. We already knew Eddie Murphy and Paul Reiser were coming back for Beverly Hills Cop 4. Revealed by the Beverly Hills Cop 4 Set Photo, we now know that Judge Reinhold and John Ashton are joining the cast as well. The proof of that is the pic posted by the Twitter user, David Stokes.
The fourth film has taken a long time to make, partially because it has been passed from producer to producer, but also because Murphy insisted on a strong script.
“As soon as the script comes together, I’m doing the movie – but I’m not doing it until the script is right. Right now, there’s a piece of a script but that’s it. But we’ve been trying to do Beverly Hills Cop 4 for over 10 years and this is the closest we’ve got to it. We have directors who are smart and ready to go – and we have great ideas. It also looks like we’ve got the original producer who produced the original Beverly Hills Cop – Jerry Bruckheimer – involved again too.”
